Friday Letters

Dear Summer, Excited to see you again! Although this year we do not have a pool and central air so my enthusiasm may be short lived.
Dear Husband,  I feel like we have both been so busy with work lately and we NEED to take a vacation soon.  A city with good food, lots of places to walk, coffee and brews will do OR something relaxing and tropical-like for a change.  I'm game wither way.
Dear Readers,  I have truly missed blogging but have been so caught up with responsibilities and life, but I look forward to getting involved again.
Dear Sabus, You are such a goon and we are thinking of getting you a little brother soon...NO, not a baby but perhaps a dog.

Dear Siblings, I am so proud of you! Sister for graduating college, Brother 1 for going to school full-time, working and being creative while doing what you enjoy, and Brother 2 for graduating high school.  You guys are making me feel old, so stop it already. ;)
Dear Career, Alas the time has finally come.  I wasn't sure if this was ever going to work but I so look forward to this summer teaching Government and next year teaching 7th grade history!

Friday's Letters

Dear Downtown LA, You are absolutely disgusting in any temperature over 80 degrees.  Walking in your 93 degree weather mixed with smog, dog poop (seriously Spring Street dog owners, clean it up!) and the smell of pee makes me miss living in the suburbs. You are lucky you get the cool breezes in the evening and you are so rad, so I forgive you.
Dear 90's, I am so happy you are back as you were dearly missed.
Dear Husband, Please try to have more patience with me.  I know I can be frustrating at times but I don't mean to be.
Dear Mattress on the Ground We Call Our Bed, I hope you like your new Anthro quilt. Now if only you didn't live on our floor.....
Dear Heatwave, You have officially gotten me over summer. I am longing for crisp air, chilly nights and dead leaves.
Dear Earthquakes, Thanks for only being little jolts.  You have made your point, now leave us alone.
Dear Next Week, You are going to leave me with my hands full, but in a good way. Super excited and see you soon!

Friday's Letters

Dear Kat, You are incredible and I love you as a friend and my photographer
Dear The Dark Knight Rises, Why were you such a GREAT movie?!? I can't stop thinking about you and I saw you on Monday. Much love
Dear Internship, I am learning so much and truly enjoy spending my time with you. Thank you for happening.
Dear Sebastian, You had better start behaving yourself or else your father wants to give you to someone with more patience for naughty little birds.
Dear Work, You kicked my bootie tonight, but thanks for the money $$cha-ching$$
(on that note)
Dear Next Vacation, Wherever and whenever you may be, I assure you, you are already needed and desperately wanted.
Dear Readers, I am so inspired by all of you! Thank you for your sweet comments and I love our interactions--any advice is always welcome! =)
Dear Friends and Family, You have been so encouraging and supportive of everything I am pursuing lately, thanks for that!

Friday's Letters

Dear Sun, It feels so good to get some hang time with you so I don't look like I'm from the Arctic Circle.  Not that anything is wrong with being pale, but tan gives you the appearance of being thinner ;)
Dear Husband, Thank you for randomly changing the layout of our entire apartment the other night, it looks and feels better!
Dear Readers, Sorry I've been lagging a bit this week, but I've been distracted by: (a) looking for an adult job (b) the Sun (c) trying to plan my birthday (d) work (e) friends
Dear Birthday, You are lucky that I love hanging out with friends for any reason and you give me a reason for a fun pool party, otherwise I would have to ask you not to come this year.
Dear Life, Learning how to not take you too seriously while balancing out being productive and not being a loser is a tough lesson to learn.  But I seem to be progressing....I hope?
Dear Black Cherry Lipstick, You are my favorite right now!! When I wear you, I feel like Gwyneth Paltrow circa 1997 or like I stepped into My So Called Life. Thanks for that.

Love, me

Friday's Letters

Dear Husband, I am sorry you got the stomach flu, and I still can't believe that you had made it into your mid-twenties never having it before. Since I've had it five times since I've know you perhaps this was a lesson of empathy.
Dear Vacation, You were just the breath of fresh air I needed to gain perspective and break up the monotony. Thanks for not letting me down.
Dear NYC, You stole my heart.  Now that we are acquainted, there is the possibility of us becoming besties (i.e. Living within one of your super small but expensive units)
Dear Yanessa, Words cannot describe how much I have missed you and what a great time we had with you guys last week!
Dear Husband, Lately you have been a bit snippy with me.  It is not necessary nor welcome.
Dear Home, Please just clean yourself, frankly I am not in the mood.
Dear Summer, I'm soooo happy you are here. Please don't let me down but allow me to have fun adventures, picnics, road trips and beach days while you're here instead of wishing what I had done during your visit come Fall.

Friday's Letters

Dear Readers, I'm sorry for the solemn post yesterday, but sometimes a girl just has to share what is on her heart.  Also, I recently changed my blog a bit and added a "banner" and lightened the color to fit my summer mood--a peachy sherbet. Please let me know what you think as I'm not sure yet if I like it.
Dear State of California, Please stop cutting education budgets.  Isn't education at least somewhat important?? I mean....really?!?!
Dear College Degree and Teaching Credential, I am so sorry that you feel useless right now, I really am.  But I promise, I am trying.
Dear Friends, Thank you for the fun times this week and good conversations...and for being real with me yet encouraging me to love this life I am blessed to have.
Dear Boston, See you Sunday!!! I am so excited and cannot believe we are meeting for the first time.
Dear NY, See you Tuesday! The fact that we have never met is slightly alarming considering you stole my best friend over a year ago now.  Thanks for letting us all hang out for a bit this week, perhaps you will steal Jon, Sebas and me as well sometime soon? Perhaps ;)
Dear Jazz Age Lawn Party, The fact that you exist makes me beyond giddy. The 1920's are my favorite era and with the upcoming Great Gatsby remake not coming out until Christmas, you will have to hold me over.
Dear Husband, Thanks for being such a rad dude. That is all for now

Friday's Letters

Dear Husband, You have been so sweet this week giving me much needed back massages, for that I am super thankful!
Dear Restaurant Diners, Please remember, your server is a human being, please treat them as such.
Dear Sebastian, You are such a cute little bird and can be very loving, but you have been extra naughty and loud this week and this needs to change. please and thank you
Dear Body, Please decide to heal completely from last week's cold, despite me mistreating you by working 13 hours days on my feet
Dear Friends I got to see this week, Thank you for the fun times out and the laughs.  It was much needed and I cherish those times.
Dear Friends I have not seen in awhile, I MISS YOU. Let's please schedule a hangout date--there are a few of you and you know who you are.
Dear Downtown LA, You are pretty dirty and sometimes scary, but I love calling you home
