Spotted: Madewell Monday

Happy Monday!!! I am extra happy today because the husband and I finally got our anniversary plans squared away since it is less than one month away!!! We are keeping it simple and planning on having a relaxing weekend "staycation" (kind of).  After all, we are going to Boston and NY in June to visit family, friends and to attend the Jazz Age Lawn Party!!!  I am so excited for our long-overdue vacation time coming up, but in the mean time, it's back to the grind.  

These Madewell looks are inspiring me for the rest of Spring into summer and here's to hoping I can buy a cute outfit with polka dots pre-anniversary weekend. =)

Fancy Friday

Today, my husband and I decided to go to the LA Zoo.  He has worked M-Sat for nearly six months now and we needed a day (other than Sunday) to do something together. It was so much fun!!! All of the "cats" (lions, tigers, and yes...even bears) were sleeping in the afternoon so they were boring.  But I was super excited about seeing the zebras, elephants, the monkeys (they're always entertaining) and my favorites, the giraffes!  We had a blast and the weather was perfect. Such a fancy friday!!

Spring Fling

Happy first day of Spring!!! (On a side note, it is also my uncle and my little brother's birthdays) =)  It's time for floral prints, bright colors, sunny afternoons into later evenings, and fun with friends.

Spring Forward

So not only did we spring forward this weekend with the time change, but Spring is just around the corner and I am so excited about the fashion trends!  I am loving the florals, bright colors, color blocking, pops of green, blue on blue, messy top buns and braids, and simple yet fun rings!! CURRENT/ELLIOT Spring 2012

I recently discovered CURRENT/ELLIOT from looking at other fashion blogs and saw their new lookbook for Spring 2012.  I love the feeling of the melancholy-The Virgin Suicides-vintage inspired shoot and the fact that while looking through it, Air's "Cherry Blossom Girl" kept playing through my head.
